Known throughout the bass fishing world for his exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and unwavering passion for the outdoors, Harold dedicated much of his life to the sport he loved. As a respected professional angler and Hall of Fame fisherman, he spent decades on the water competing, teaching, mentoring, and sharing his knowledge with fellow anglers. His legacy extends far beyond tournament finishes and accolades—it lives on through the countless lives he touched and the generations of fishermen he inspired.

William Glenn Brooks

William Glenn Brooks passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 74 in Milam. He was born on July 14, 1951 in Hemphill, to his parents Lyndell Allen Brooks and Wilma Lurline Ener. He was lifelong resident of Sabine County. Glenn dedicated many years of his life working as a millwright at Temple- Inland, where he was respected for his expertise and hard work. Outside of his professional life, Glenn was deeply passionate about the outdoors. He found joy in farming and gardening, and he spent much of his time hunting and fishing. A true lover of animals, Glenn was especially devoted to his dog, Rex. Those who knew him will remember him as a true southern gentleman, whose hobbies reflected his love for the natural world.

Sharon Lynn Brown, 79, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at her home in Huntington, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 1, 1947, in Grants Pass, Oregon to her parents of Bernard John Lambert and Lenore Irene Burke, Sharon lived a life centered on love, laughter, and family. She shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Judge Dalphus Brown, who preceded her in death. Sharon was a devoted wife, a loving mother of three, and the heart of her family. She had a heart of gold and was known for her funny, spirited personality. Whether she was cracking jokes, telling stories, or making those around her laugh, she had a remarkable gift for bringing joy to others. She was a safe place for so many, a source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Travis Andrew “Andy” Ellis, 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on June 27, 2026. Born in Hemphill, on May 12, 1960, to Sam Houston Ellis and Clarene Clark Ellis, Andy grew up with a love for family, music, and making memories that would stay with people for a lifetime. He graduated from Aldine High School in 1978 and spent most of his career in the construction industry where he not only built a respected reputation, but lifelong friendships. At Cavalry Construction & Restoration, Andy was more than a coworker, he was family. He was admired, respected, and loved by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. His impact was so meaningful that both of his children, Ariel and Austin, would eventually follow in his footsteps and join the Cavalry family.

He grew up attending East Mayfield Baptist Church, where he turned his life over to Christ at a young age. The people of East Mayfield Baptist Church were his second family and shaped his lifelong love of the piano, which he would play there, in high school, and in yea Vince went on to h starting with respirato tioned to phlebotomy worked for Quest Diag over the years, he lived in the last several years Vince was precede Mary (Mitchell) McD Verdie (Smith) McDa Mitchell.

Kenneth Ray Frazier Sr.

It is with deep sadness, yet faith in God’s promise of eternal life, that we announce the passing of Kenneth Ray Frazier Sr., age 89, on June 7, 2026. He was born on February 15, 1937, in Liberty. Ray was raised in Liberty, where he attended LISD and upon completion enlisted into the United States Army where he served from September 7, 1956, receiving an honorable discharge August 26, 1959, with 1 year and 8 months of that overseas in France. He then married his wife of 60 years in 1964 and raised his family in his hometown of Liberty. Throughout his life he worked for various companies in Liberty, most notably for many years at KDR Supply, where he retired at the age of 72 and in 2022 moved to Hemphill, where he loved to sit on the porch and watch the wildlife on Toledo Bend Lake.
