Johna Malynn (Fuller) Clark was born July 23, 1991, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Betsy and Larry Fuller of San Augustine. She was born the first daughter of three girls and wore the big sister title proudly to her Josie Marie and Jayne Makayla. She graduated from San Augustine High School, Class of 2009. She then went to Angelina College where she completed the phlebotomy program and began working as a phlebotomist.

James Michael 'Buzz' Bailey, aged 64 of Zavalla, passed away on March 24, 2026, in Houston. Born on February 15, 1962, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Robert Leroy Bailey and Gloria Lewis Bailey, Buzz grew up in a nurturing environment that shaped his outgoing and friendly nature. Buzz spent his professional life as a dedicated sheet metal fabricator in the air conditioning industry, a role that highlighted his skill and commitment to craftsmanship. Residing in Zavalla, after living in Lufkin, he was a beloved figure in his community. Known for his warm personality, Buzz never met a stranger and cherished the time spent with family and friends. His passion for building things was not only a professional attribute but also a personal joy.

Lovelace Joe 'L.J.' Schrieber III, aged 77, of Hemphill, passed away on March 22, 2026 in Jasper. Born on December 22, 1948, in Orange, L.J. led a life marked by dedication to his family, country, and community.

Mary Beth Ladner Shores was born on January 17th, 1945, in Fairdale, at Aunt Nettie’s house. She passed from this life into the next on March 30th, 2026, in Beaumont. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Madie Ladner, her brother, Thomas Ladner, and her sisters and their husbands, Katie & Harold Smith, Reba & Maurice Williams, Leona & JD Warden, brother-in-law, Hank Shores, sister-in-law, Peggy Michael, and one great granddaughter, Heidi Newell.

Prentice Cravey, 85, of Brookeland, passed away on March 17, 2026, in Lufkin. Born on December 22, 1940, in Fred, to Bob Cravey and Pearlie Mae McKee Cravey, he was a cherished member of his community. Prentice spent his career at Temple- Inland, where he worked diligently as an oiler until his retirement. He was also skilled in building swimming pools and fences, a testament to his craftsmanship and work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Prentice was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and gardening, activities that brought him great peace and joy.

Karen Elizabeth Harris of Hemphill, passed away on March 15, 2026, in Longview, at the age of 68. She was born on April 11, 1957, in Tampa, Florida to Billy Fyfe and Valeria Lambrecht Fyfe, Karen spent many years in Houston, before moving to Sabine County where she spent the last two decades of her life. Karen dedicated many years to the home health care industry as a home health aide, demonstrating a profound commitment to the well-being of others. Her devotion extended into her spiritual life as well. A devout Catholic, Karen was a faithful servant who lived her life for the Lord, actively participating in her community at St. Pius Catholic Church in Hemphill.

James Earl Crockett, age 70, of Geneva, departed this physical life on Saturday, March 07, 2026, at his residence, in Geneva. Mr. James Earl Crockett was born June 26, 1955. Survived by his son: Marquency Brooks of Houston, daughter: Lisa Brooks of Nacogdoches, four grandchildren, two sisters: Lonie C. Boyd of Gloster, LA and Iva Nell Simmons of San Augustine. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation held Saturday, March 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Garner & Son Chapel.

William Curtis Jones passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 67, in Austin. Born on September 28, 1958, in Port Arthur, to William Ennis Jones and Jean Ann Davis Jones. A native of Port Arthur, he had spent many years in the Houston area before moving to the Austin area in 2021. A proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1977, Curtis furthered his education by earning a master's degree and he was currently studying at the University of Arizona. He dedicated his career to the oil and gas industry, where he excelled as a Project Control Manager, respected for his meticulousness and leadership.
