Body JoAnn O'Riley passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 90 in Henderson. Born on February 16, 1936, in Hemphill, she was the daughter of James Daniel (Buddy) O'Riley and Emmie Jane Glawson O'Riley. JoAnn had moved from Buna, to Henderson, where she spent her last 30 years.

Body Dewey Calvin Wells Sr., 86, of Broaddus, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Huntington. Wells, born January 14, 1940, in Broaddus, was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Lufkin Industries Inc. Survivors: wife of 61 years, Maudie Wells; children, Dewey Wells Jr.

Body Diann Easley Short, a lifelong resident of Sabine County, passed away on August 5, 2026. She was born in Hemphill, to Thomas S. Easley and Callie Mae Harley Easley, and spent her entire life rooted in the community she called home.
