Karen Glover of Pineland, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, in Lufkin, at the age of 72. Born on August 16, 1953, in Woodville, she was the daughter of Virgil McKee and Treddie Myles McKee. Karen spent 40 years of her life in Pineland, having previously lived in Woodville. She dedicated 32 years to her career as a nurse's aide before retiring. Karen was known for her love of visiting casinos and Delta Downs, playing video games, and enjoying rounds of Bingo, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Lakey, and her husband, John, of Brookeland; her sister, Velma Fussell of Lufkin; her grandchildren, Tyler Patrick Lakey of Pigeon Forge, TN, and Tayler Paul Lakey and his wife, Mallory, of Brookeland; and her great-grandchild, Sayge Nicole.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Glover; her parents; her brothers, Johnny Ray McKee, Delbert Earl McKee, and Curtis 'Butch' McKee, Jr.; and her sister, Darlene Clarke.

Graveside services for Karen will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Centerview Cemetery, with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.

The services are under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, located in Hemphill, Texas. Karen's life and legacy will be honored in a ceremony reflecting her enduring spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
