Hemphill bass club tournament

Body
The girls out-fished the guys during the Saturday tournament of the Hemphill Hornets Bass Club tournament, sponsored by Brandon Belt Fishing. Weigh-in was at the Lost Frontier boat ramp. Baylee White (pictured above) of the Baylee White & Makenna Adkins fishing team won First Place with two fish weighing 3.39 lbs. But the whole story is, seems that Baylee dropped her cell phone off into the lake and without hesitation bailed off into the 58-degree water to retrieve it. The cell phone was lost, but the tournament was won. You go girl! The boat captains for these kids never know what to expect! Coming in Second Place was Landen Jackson and Landen White with 2 fish weighing 3.15 lbs. Third Place went to Rickey Garret and Dustin Gordon with 1 fish weighing 2.84 lbs. (which was the Big Bass of the tournament). Fourth Place went to Kane Ross and Caden Wright with 1 fish weighing 2.04 lbs. Fishing was tough after the stormy front that rolled in during the night before the tournament, but congratulations to all these young anglers for showing up and competing!
