Tigers, Lady Tigers maintain winning ways

Body
Both Tiger squads saw action this past week, with the ladies hosting Woden on April 2 then traveling to Burkeville April 4 while the Tigers took on San Augustine on the 2nd. The Lady Tigers had a nail biter with the Lady Eagles, but a clutch bases clearing double in the fifth from Katie Lindow broke the game open as the ladies went on to win 53. Lindow was the offensive star as well with two hits and four RBI.

It’s Bulldog Week for Tigers, Lady Tigers

Both Tiger squads kept their respective diamonds hot this past week as they took on Broaddus and Colmesneil. It was ladies first in Broaddus March 26 as they used a four run first inning to ease on by to a 9-3 win over the Lady Dogs. Katie Lindow was dominant in the circle, going the route allowing three runs on four hits while fanning 10.

Wildcats have great week on the diamonds

Body
Both Brookeland squads kept their respective diamonds hot this past week as they both opened up at Chireno vs the home standing Owls. The Wildcats struck in the top of the first with five runs courtesy of a two RBI double from Cade Morgan, a RBI walk from Brendan Marshall and RBI groundouts from Jake Bennett and Braden McCugh. It remained 5-0 until the fifth until Brookeland plated six courtesy of a two run error and RBI singles from Zack Beckett, Morgan and Cash Powell. Bennett was steady on the mound throwing 4 and 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits while fanning eight.

SETX bass tournament

Body
Representing the Hemphill Hornets Bass Club, Kane Ross and Caden Wright fished the SETX H. S. fishing tournament Saturday on Sam Rayburn, bringing a 5 fish limit to the scales weighing 10.95 lbs. Kane fished solo on day 2 of the tournament in totally different lake conditions (rain, lightening, and cold) catching several dinks, and breaking off 3 good ones before finally catching a keeper. Congratulations to these young anglers!
