Body Brookeland Girls Cross Country Team has placed third at Regionals and is headed to the State Competition! This is the first time in school history that Brookeland has gone to the State Cross Country Meet as a team! Congratulations, Wildcats.

Body The Little Green Band headed to Waco on Monday to compete at the National Association of Military Marching Bands contest after qualifying earlier this month by earning a First Division at Regionals. .

Body The Hemphill Hornet Bass Club tournament was on Saturday, October 20th and was sponsored by Lonesome Coyote Ranch, with launch and weigh-in at Indian Mounds boat ramp. A total of twelve teams competed in the tournament.

Body The West Sabine Tigers played host to the 2A top dog Timpson Bears Friday, October 13 looking for the upset. The Bears, unfortunately, had other ideas as they took their opening drive in for the score.

Body A great morning was enjoyed last week when Sabine County Sheriff Tom Maddox, along with Scott Dyer of the Hemphill ISD Police Department treated 30 great kids to donuts in celebration for their exemplary behavior in school.

Body Congratulations to Hemphill Little Green Band for advancing to NAMMB State Competition in Waco. The students competed on Saturday and were awarded with a First Division accomplishment. They will compete again on Tuesday, Oct. 24.

Body The West Sabine Tiger Band competed on Saturday at the Texas UIL Military Band Contest at Stehen F. Austin, being awarded a Second Division.
