Body Lady Hornets battled all through the Zavalla Jingle Bell tournament and face a tough West Hardin team in the championship. Congratulations Coach Ebarb, Coach Williams and the Lady Hornets on finishing 2nd in the tournament.

Body Congratulations to the Hemphill Hornets! Over a 3 day period these boys played 5 competitive games with two of their wins being won in overtime and losing one at the buzzer.

Body The West Sabine Lady Tigers hit the hardwood November 14 vs Kirbyville, coming off a big win over the Zavalla Lady Eagles the previous week. The first quarter saw frenetic up and down the court action as the ladies would emerge with an 18-11 lead.

Body The second six weeks of school has been completed at Hemphill Elementary School. Students making the honor roll for this grading period are listed here.

Body These patriotic 4th graders saluted Veteran’s in person and online Friday in the Hemphill Athletic Complex. They sang a beautiful medley of songs for our service men and women.

Body It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Pineywoods Cookie Co. partnered with Tebo Creek for a fun-filled fall cookie last last week. If you missed out, don’t worry! There is a Christmas Cookie Class coming December 5.

Body The West Sabine Tigers, one week after making the playoffs in thrilling fashion over Shelbyville, took on Centerville in the Bi-District round in Diboll November 9.

Body The Tiger FFA officers presented the Missing Man Table Ceremony at Thursday’s Veteran’s Day program. .

Body The weather cooperated finally on Friday night, with the rain ceasing before gametime in Jacksonville. However, the other game conditions did not turn in favor of the Hornets.

Body Daden Wright and Kane Ross fished DETX Q3 on Sam Rayburn and weighed in 4 fish for a totai weight of 6.61 lbs. Weigh-in was held at Jackson Hill Park & Marina. Congratulations to these young anglers of the Hemphill Hornet Bass Club!
