It was a great night to be a Tiger. Gracie Ross was voted Queen and Football sweetheart and Laken Quick took home the crown as well as the Mr. Football Title. Tigers Duel with Wolves

The West Sabine Tigers entered into their final nondistrict tilt vs. the San Augustine Wolves on Friday, September 19 in Pineland. Things got off to a rocky start for the Tigers, however, as much to the consternation of the Tiger faithful the Wolves jumped out to a 21-0 lead after one on the strength of two TD runs from QB Tymorian Cartwright and RB Andrew Nash. He(Nash) would add a two yard TD in the second quarter along with Cartwright tossing a 32 yard pass for another score that made it 35-0 at halftime.

Tigers & Hornets Tangle in PineCone Bowl

The West Sabine Tigers and the Hemphill Hornets tangled once again in the 2025 edition of the PineCone Bowl, aka the Sabine County Super Bowl. The scoring started early as Jakobe Harris took it over from five yards out to draw first blood. The Hornets came right back, methodically chewing up almost seven minutes before Smith went in from five yards out to knot the score at six.

Tigers Cage Tenaha

The West Sabine Tigers looked to notch their first win of the season September 4 as they battled their namesakes from up north, the Tenaha Tigers. West Sabine got off to a fast start, notching three TD’s in the first quarter to take a 20-7 lead. The Tigers would tack on two more scores in the second quarter to make it 32-7 at halftime. The third period saw two more Tiger TD’s and the fourth saw the defense get in on the scoring with a safety to make the final 48-7 West Sabine.
