Tournament time...

Body
Hemphill Softball is in full swing with the tournament circuit this season, spending this weekend in the Jasper tournament where the finished 4-1. There was great team effort the entire weekend. Highlighted for their game-time efforts were Amelia Gay, Rylie Corley and Baleigh Alonzo. Gay led the charge taking care of business on the mound and at the plate in game two against Jasper on day one. Amelia also picked up her first homerun of the season against Huntington in game one. Corley was honored for games four and five after an awesome defensive performance to help the Lady Hornets top Buna 5-3. In the win against West Hardin, Rylie collected three hits, one being her first homer of the season. Alonzo picked up the MVP award after a stellar performance at the plate going 2-2 with a walk and stealing multiple bases in the win against Beaumont-United in their game three win. Congrats ladies on an awesome weekend.
