Body The fourth six weeks of school has been completed at Hemphill High School. Students making the honor roll for this grading period are listed here.

Body Sabine County faceoffs again Tuesday night for Hemphill and West Sabine on the diamonds. This time the Hornets came out on top. The ladies bested the tigers 11-5 and the Hornet Varisty Boys won 5 to 3.

Body It was a good week all around for all the local baseball and softball squads. The Brookeland Wildcats got off the deck this past week with with an 8-1 win over Apple Springs and a 10-0 win over Burkeville, in which starter Sam Ross would fan 15 Mustangs in total.

Body On the evening of Tuesday, March 17, the atmosphere at The Seed Patch (181 Milam St.) felt less like an afterschool program and more like a high-stakes weigh-in.

Body All three local softball squads were busy this past week along with two of their baseball counterparts. The Brookeland LadyCats would fall 12-2 vs.

Body The Hemphill Little Dribblers basketball program began its season with practices at the end of November, followed by its first games on January 3.

Body The diamonds were once again busy this past week as all four Sabine County squads saw action once again. The Hemphill Hornets had quite the productive week, going 41 with the lone loss coming to a salty Evadale Pirates squad 7-3 on March 3.
