The West Sabine Tigers made the trek south to battle the Evadale Rebels with the district 12-2A title on the line October 24. After forcing a Rebel three and out the Tigers fumbled the pigskin away on their possession, setting up Evadale for a 25 yard TD pass to take the early lead.
Hemphill Seniors Rylie Corley and Amelia Gay were celebrated during the Lady Hornets final home Volleyball game on Friday night. Catch them in playoff action soon. Check Facebook for playoff details. In addition, Corley also traveled to Regional Cross Country last week after earning awards in the District XC Meet. Way to go Rylie and way to go Lady Hornets!
The West Sabine Tigers looked to send the home fans happy October 17 on Senior Night vs the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats. After the pregame festivities ended, the Tigers got right to work as they took advantage of a shanked Bobcat punt and drove 37 yards in four plays culminating in an eight yard scamper from Jakobe Harris(you’ll be hearing about him quite a bit).
The Hemphill Lady Hornets Volleyball Team has officially clinched a spot in the playoffs after an exciting 3-0 victory over the San Augustine Lady Wolves. The Lady Hornets’ hard work and determination throughout the season have paid off, and the community couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishment.
West Sabine’s Jaden Curtis returns a punt October 10 in Colmesneil. The West Sabine Tigers hit the road for the first time this season October 10 as they made the short trek up the road to Colmesneil to battle the Bulldogs in 12-2A action.
