The West Sabine Tigers and Hemphill Hornets renewed hostilities on the court January 10 in Pineland. The first half was nip and tuck, as the Hornets eased ahead to take a 17-15 lead at halftime. The Hornets came out like a house of fire in the third, extending their lead 35-28 entering the final quarter. Hemphill stayed hot while much to the chagrin of Tiger faithful West Sabine couldn’t buy a bucket as the Hornets eased away with a 57-41 win. Hemphill’s Trayvion McDaniel led all scorers with 30(24 in the second half) while Jakobe Harris paced the Tiger attack with 12 as Kameron Streigel followed him with nine.
