Robert L. Gulliford
Robert L. 'Bob' Gulliford of Milam, was born June 24, 1953, and left this world surrounded by loved ones on June 15, 2026.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda L. Gulliford of Milam, who cared for him until his last breath.
He is also survived by a sister, Mary Crorkin of Huntley, Illinois; brother, Jim Gulliford of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; sister, Charlene Hogan of Illinois; daughter, Christy Marie Gulliford; stepson, Ryan Cook and wife Lindsey; stepson, Brett Cook and wife Heidi; stepdaughter, Laura Hamilton and husband Robert; and his 'sidekick' stepdaughter, Amber Cook.
He was also a proud step-grandfather to twins Evan G. Mc-Farland and Elijah B. McFarland, and Connor Cook. He never gave up trying to teach them things that they would carry into adulthood and make them better men.
Bob proudly served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974 as part of the 364th CS Co. in Vietnam. His military service was a formative chapter in his life and he was honorably discharged. Bob never lived anywhere that his adored American Flag did not fly proudly.
Bob made his way to Texas and ended up settling in Milam, where he lived for over 31 years. He became an avid bass fisherman, and you could find him on his boat just about any day of the week. He loved catching the bass, but his greater joy was teaching someone else the skill and watch them 'pull in a big one!'
Like a well loved book whose final chapter has been read, the story of Robert Gulliford's remarkable life has come to a close--but the pages remain, filled with love, laughter, and lessons that will be cherished forever.'
