On June 27, 2026, Robert Vin McDaniel Jr was called home McDaniel, Jr. with the Lord after a brief illness. Robert, affectionately known as Vince to his Hemphill people, was born on June 1, 1964, in Hemphill, to Robert and Mary (Mitchell) Mc-Daniel. Vince attended Hemphill ISD and graduated in 1982. He grew up attending East Mayfield Baptist Church, where he turned his life over to Christ at a young age. The people of East Mayfield Baptist Church were his second family and shaped his lifelong love of the piano, which he would play there, in high school, and in yea Vince went on to h starting with respirato tioned to phlebotomy worked for Quest Diag over the years, he lived in the last several years Vince was precede Mary (Mitchell) McD Verdie (Smith) McDa Mitchell.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday 2026, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd officiating.
