Body We celebrate President’s Day, honoring all US presidents. The holiday originally celebrated George Washington’s birthday on February 22. It became a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February in 1968.

Body ADDITIONAL HOURS!! We will now open the first Saturday of each month, 1pm-8pm. At 5pm we will have Family Game Night until closing! All we ask to participate is a monetary donation of your choosing. Games will be provided. We look forward to see everyone!!

Body Annual Meeting Thirty-seventh annual meeting of the Hebron Cemetery in San Augustine County will be held Saturday March 1st, 2pm at the historical Hebron Church and community building. Pie supper and auction will follow.

Girls & Boys State Applicants 2025

Body Six Juniors from Hemphill High School have been chosen to attend the 2025 Texas Boys’ State and 2025 Texas Bluebonnet Girls’ State Leadership camps this summer. The three boys are Alexis Rodriguez, Gavin Hoffman, and Jared Rosas.

Local students lock in at Fort Worth

Body One of the Stock Show’s most iconic and popular events, the Calf Scramble gives 20 students an opportunity to catch one of 10 calves during 22 performances of the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo held January 17 through February 8.
photo submitted Autumn Snow of Hemphill, a member of Hemphill FFA, caught a calf during the 2025 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Calf Scramble, earning a $500 purchase certificate for a show heifer and the chance for up to $16,000 in scholarship awards. Snow is the daughter of James and Heather Snow. Her award was sponsored by Pytch Black.
