Timothy Lee Weldon Conn, 23, of Vidor, passed away on March 29, 2026, in Romeoville, Illinois. Born on August 30, 2002, in Jasper, Timothy (affectionately known as “T-Gator” by his friends and family, was a cherished member of his community and a loving figure in his family. A graduate of West Sabine High School, Class of 2020, Timothy was an enthusiastic athlete, playing football and baseball for the Tigers. His passion for sports was matched by his love for the outdoors, engaging in activities such as hog hunting with his best buddy “Bo Dawg”, deer hunting, fishing, running dogs, and riding ATVs.

Our beloved momma Lois Elaine Broussard Granger has peacefully gone on to eternity to be with Jesus Christ her Savior on March 31, 2026. Whether you know her as momma, Nunnie, Nunny, Nanny, Sis, Aunt Elaine or your friend she was much loved and will be truly missed. She was born in Orange, on January 10th, 1938 to Isaac Joseph Broussard and Della Smith and was 88 years old. She was married to the love of her life Donald Granger in 1953 and was happily married for 68 years until he went on to his heavenly home in 2021.

William Lee Johnson

William Lee 'Bub' Johnson, aged 80, passed away on March 31, 2026, surrounded by his family at his residence in San Augustine. Born on April 19, 1945, in Center, he was the son of John Ellington Johnson and Harlowe Whitton Johnson. A dedicated poultry farmer for many years, Bub was a pillar of the San Augustine community. His commitment was evident through his active membership in numerous local organizations including the San Augustine Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, the Center VFW, and the Methodist Church where he served on various committees. He also contributed to the San Augustine Appraisal District, the San Augustine ISD Education Foundation, 42 years on the San Augustine School Board and Project Graduation, among others. His involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, and the Old Timers Breakfast Club further showcased his dedication to community service.

Loucille Katherine “Cathy” McBride of Bronson passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 28, 2026. Cathy was born January 19, 1945, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Vera Tolav and William Louis Murphy of Leesville, Louisiana. She was the granddaughter of Margaret Tolav, an Athabaskan Native American, and Peter Tolav, a Russian immigrant. Her father later married Ruby Birdwell of San Augustine, whose family Cathy dearly loved.

Lanora was a dedicated individual known for her entrepreneurial spirit and loving nature. Throughout her life, Lanora embarked on numerous ventures, showcasing her business sense and exceptional work ethic. She owned and operated various businesses, including a Dairy Queen in Newton and Dinnertime Casseroles in Hemphill. Additionally, she served her community as a bail bondsman. Despite her busy career, Lanora's favorite and most cherished role was being a mother.

She was born the first daughter of three girls and wore the big sister title proudly to her Josie Marie and Jayne Makayla. She graduated from San Augustine High School, Class of 2009. She then went to Angelina College where she completed the phlebotomy program and began working as a phlebotomist.

Buzz spent his professional life as a dedicated sheet metal fabricator in the air conditioning industry, a role that highlighted his skill and commitment to craftsmanship. Residing in Zavalla, after living in Lufkin, he was a beloved figure in his community. Known for his warm personality, Buzz never met a stranger and cherished the time spent with family and friends. His passion for building things was not only a professional attribute but also a personal joy.
