Pamela Ann Beard Evans, 69, of Broaddus passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at her residence. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, San Augustine, with a memorial celebration beginning at 2:30 p.m. 'Pam' was born August 13, 1956, in Port Arthur to parents Ora Mae (Rash) and James Nelson Beard. She grew up in the Nederland area and was a 1974 graduate of Nederland High School. For the past several years, 'home' for Pam has been Broaddus, a community deep rooted with her family's legacy for many generations. She was a member of Broaddus Church of Christ.

Eric Alan Bishop, 54, of Hemphill, passed away on June 18, 2026, in Dallas. Born on October 1, 1971, in Corpus Christi, to Rodney and Karen Murray Bishop, Eric spent his life deeply rooted in his community and family. Eric moved to Hemphill in 1998, where he was owner/operator of Toledo RV Sales. A devoted husband and father, Eric's greatest joy came from spending quality time with his sons, Gavin Michael Bishop and Brady Thomas Bishop, engaging in activities like playing video games and assisting Gavin in building a cabin.

Stephen Roberts Gray

Stephen Roberts Gray, known to family and friends as Steve and to his grandchildren as Pop, passed away unexpectedly in Henderson, Nevada, on June 12, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on October 16, 1942, in Berwyn, Cook County, Illinois, Steve grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma, where he developed a lifelong love of the outdoors. As a Boy Scout and Explorer Scout, he spent countless hours camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing— interests that remained central to his life for more than eight decades. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1960 and attended the University of Oklahoma for two years before answering a call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy.

A proud graduate of Hemphill High School, Jeff was known early in life for his adventurous, mischievous spirit, a spark that shaped the man he would become. His love for the water and his drive to explore the world led him to enlist in the United States Navy at nineteen.

Michael Wayne Booker, Jr., 43, passed away on June 9, 2026, in Lufkin. Born on September 14, 1982, in Jasper, he was the son of Karen Lynn Yonts. A cherished resident of Sabine County, Michael spent his career at Cook Tire in Lufkin, dedicating himself as a tire technician and providing roadside service. Known for his love of life and people, Michael was especially devoted to his children and enjoyed playing Wahoo. Michael is survived by his father, Mike Ebarb of Broaddus; mother, Karen Yonts of Huntington; sons, Devin, Gage, Payton, Huntley, and Brytin Booker; daughter, Bailey Rodenbough; brother, Marshall Ebarb and Megan Rylas; and sister, Misty McCauley and husband, Stephen.

Mollie Sue Moore Douglas, age 74, of San Augustine, departed this physical life on Wednesday, June 03, 2026, at her residence in San Augustine. Mrs. Mollie Sue Moore Douglas was born November 21, 1952. She is survived by her husband; Theodore Douglas Jr. of San Augustine, three sons; Theodore “Teddy” Douglas (Concia) of Lufkin, Anderson “Tunnie” Douglas of Lufkin, and Tyrone Jones of Mansfield, LA,., daughter; Lasaundra Douglas of San Augustine, three brothers; Hollis Polk Jr. (Tysika) of Dallas, Garland Polk of San Augustine, and Barry Polk (Carnetta) of Longview, five sisters; Almazine Deason of Beaumont, Eva Joe Roberts of Dallas, Gale Stanley (Roy) of Desoto, Nana Smith (Eddie) of San Augustine, and Alisha Polk of San Augustine, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As well as a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Keith Alan Franks, 72, of Pineland, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026. His life will be celebrated at First Methodist Church of Pineland on Saturday, June 27 at 11 a.m. The service will be officiated by Reverend Alberto Williams. Music will be provided by Jan and Stephen Pate. As the reality of meeting the end of his life became clear, Keith cared only about the salvation of his family and friends. He said, “I want all my family to go to heaven. I want all my friends to go to heaven.” This might make heaven crowded as Keith grew up in a generation where dozens of cousins were the norm, and he made friends everywhere he went.

Latricia Pricilla Hair

Latricia Pricilla (Mott) Hair was born March 14, 1960 in Hemphill, to Cecil Mott and Patricia (Martin) Mott. She passed away on June 4, 2026 at her home in Garland, after a prolonged battle with cancer. She was a native of Sabine County and grew up in Pineland, where she was known as “Prissy”. She was a 1978 graduate of West Sabine High School. After relocating to the Dallas area in the late 80s, she held several jobs in a wide variety of industries. For the last several years she was employed by the Richardson Independent School District where she was a Teacher’s Aide for children with special needs. These special needs included everything from emotional, mental, physical and sometimes severe disabilities. Pricilla loved her job providing care and support to these kids and she loved them as her own.
