Hemphill, Texas — History lovers and wine enthusiasts alike are invited to step back in time on Friday, October 31, for the Heritage Wine Walking Tour led by local historian Weldon McDaniel. The evening begins at 5:00 p.m.

The Sabine County Reporter has been authorized to announce the candidacies of the below named persons for the offices named subject to action in the March 3, 2026 Primary elections. The announcement fee (which must be paid in advance) includes a statement and photograph to run one time. Fees are $200. The name on the calendar runs each week until the election.

(Hemphill, Texas) On October 10, 2025 shortly after 7:30 am someone reported hearing a gunshot at Hemphill ISD in the 1000 block of Milam Street. Hemphill ISD School District Police contacted Hemphill Police Department and Sabine County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance in checking the area. Hemphill Police Department and Sabine County Sheriff’s Office dispatched additional units to the area and no nefarious or otherwise criminal activity was noted. Units returned to service.
