The City of Pineland will come alive on Saturday, September 27, 2025, as residents and visitors gather for Pineland Day, a beloved tradition held every other year to celebrate the town’s deep roots in the timber industry and the strong sense of community that continues to thrive here in the Piney Woods of East Texas. A Tradition of Timber and Togetherness The history of Pineland is deeply intertwined with the lumber industry.

Friday Night Lights in Pineland will be Royal this weekend with the ladies and gentleman of the court. Homecoming Court will start at 6:00 p.m. The court will meet in the library at 5:15 and line up at 5:45.. Kickoff for the homecoming football game is at 7:00 against Deweyville. The Bassmaster Kayak Series will be making their last stop of 2025 at Toledo Bend Reservoir in Hemphill, Texas, the official Bass Fishing Capitol of Texas. The event, being held September 26 through 28, is the final opportunity for anglers to earn coveted Angler Of The Year points, and to qualify for the Bassmaster Kayak Series Classic scheduled in March 2026.
