If you look in at the final score and the number of points the Hornets have put up against opponents this season you can’t help but be proud of all they have accomplished. There is definitely something about this team that is special. However, Friday night revealed several areas that will need to be cleaned up before Hemphill enters the post season. Too many penalties are occurring and at times we were down right sloppy. Improvements are coming, you can count on that.

Friday night lights had a little extra sparkle this past week as Hemphill High and West Sabine held their court festivities and crownings. For the Hornets, Yenni Flores (pictured left with escort and Band Beau Reagan Wall) was crowned Queen of the Swarm as well as being honored as Band Sweetheart. Tiger Stadium was full for their coronation as well. Announced as king was Chase Williams Homecoming Queen was Anna Mouton. Sabine County Reporter is partnering with local businesses for a Save the Boobie Bingo and Fall Fashion Show to raise awareness and funds for our community.
