I had come down with a bad case of “cabin fever.” I had been at home, too long. Then, I got a text, “We are going to Lufkin, to eat with Glenna and John. Do you want to go?” This was Debbie and Michael. Did I ever want to go. I could be ready, shortly. I enjoyed the ride up there. So many beautiful green trees. The grass was green, too. Even though, we have had, such a dry summer. I felt a bit like a bird, out of a cage. And when we arrived, it got even better. We met my other offspring at my favorite restaurant, Café del Rio. Such a good time, with my family. I savored every minute of it. I didn’t forget to tell them, either. I do love my family. This time together was like a mini-vacation.

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in ALL things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” - III John 1:2 We have looked at keeping our soul well by resting in Christ and releasing judgments. The third lesson we must examine is Magnifying the Lord. The soul is a magnifying glass. Whatever you set the focus of your soul o will eventually TOTALLY consume and envelope your entire being. For example, have you ever experienced worship so real that you are “lost in the Spirit?” Time doesn’t exist, other people in the room don’t exist. You are so focused on His presence that there is no room for anything else. Your soul was magnifying the Lord. We are designed to magnify something. Whatever that is will determine a release of what God has placed in your life or a binding up of that. Consider a time of insurmountable need in your life. Let’s say it’s financial. You boldly go before the throne. You ask and you praise Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Your focus becomes praise and gratitude, to the point of magnifying the Lord rather than the need. You don’t leave your prayer closet full of worry, but instead full of confidence that every promise of God is “Yes and Amen!” That’s magnifying the Lord.

Every fall when the weather starts to cool just a little bit and the rains pick up, calls will start coming in about dying lawns and most of them are disease related. While lawn disease issues can happen anytime during the growing season, we hear about them mostly in the fall. Additionally, the call will typically come from the homeowner who normally has the greenest and most pampered lawn on the block. Most times, the most pampered lawns that receive copious fertilizer and an abundance of water are the most affected.

Most Americans are just becoming aware of Environmental, Social, and Governance (or ESG) scores. The social credit system is being rolled out to the public as a financial tool by which banks, corporations, manufacturers, and consumers may exercise greater control over their financial decisions. Unfortunately, this soft sale is extremely misleading. The system, which is being piecemealed together, involves nothing less than the complete overhaul of the modern market system. It is being set up to supersede the FICO scoring system as the primary monitor of all financial behavior. Indeed, the ESG system was designed by radical elites to bring national (and global) conformity to woke political causes. If you are not yet familiar with ESG, it’s time to learn.
