#UPDATE Michael C. Howard is out of jail today, just one week after confessing that he shot his 20-year-old son and burned his body. December 9, 2024, Howard went before Judge Mixon in Sabine County where his bond was lowered from $20 Million ($10 million for each charge) to $1 million total.

New Administrator at HCC

Hemphill Care Center has a new administrator, and a lot of the residents already know him. He is Steve Winfield and he comes to HCC from Stonecreek Nursing and Rehabilitation in San Augustine, but many of the residents remember him from his baseball playing days.
