Cell phones and texting have taken the place of books, letter-writing and research.Why go to the library when the world is at your fingertips... literally. For the first time in my life, I can envision a paperless world, and it is not for the better.

St. Patricks Day performance...

Friday night, March 3rdat the Hemphill Little Theater gave way to a spectacular performance of dueling banjos, guitars, flutes, harmonica, accordion and more from Danny O’Flaherty and Noel Nash. The St. Patrick Day show featured these two old friends reuniting on stage to perform some great Irish music of their homeland. Great music, fun stories between songs, and plenty of audience participation always makes for a great performance!

Hemphill Yoga hosted their Ribbon Cutting, Grand Opening and Open House at their new location, 130 E. Main St. two doors down from Hemphill’s Little Theater. Wine and light hors d’oeuvres were served and a great crowd showed up for Yoga Nidra class, a deep relaxation yogic-sleep).
