Tigers Control Burkeville in Holiday Win...

Body
It may not have been pretty, but the 54-28 drubbing of the Burkeville Mustangs gave several Tigers a chance to work on their rebounding and passing skills. On both ends of the floor, the air was filled with basketballs as both teams did everything but score. For the first half, it looked like the winless Mustangs would make a game of it before the Tigers took control with an 18 point third quarter. Walker led Tiger scoring with 15 points, 12 of those in the second half, with JaKolby Harris adding 9 and Keke Bosley with 7.

Tigers and Dragons go down to the wire

Body
It’s funny sometimes how an entire season can literally boil down to just one single play. Last year the Tigers ended their bi-district playoff with a TD on the final play only to see the same exact thing happen to them in Shelbyville November 3, as Shelbyville QB D.J. Barnes hit WR Scotty Garrett from six yards out with no time left and the Tigers saw their season come to an all too abrupt end at the hands of the Dragons 53-46.

Tigers vs Rams on Senior Night

Body
The West Sabine Tigers faced yet another formidable foe October 28 as they faced the Joaquin Rams, a team that had pushed number one Timpson to its absolute limit the week before. The Ram game plan was simple yet smashingly effective, employing a bruising ground game using several different backs. They would take their second possession of the quarter and score, grinding out roughly seven minutes off the clock before Stotts darted around right end to paydirt from eight yards out to give Joaquin an early 7-0 lead after one.

Hornets Exit Regular Season in Style

Body
For the Hemphill faithfull who made the three hour drive in the rain, and the ones who couldn’t make the trip, but tuned in to the radio broadcast, Friday nights’ regular season finale with Anderson Shiro was supposed to be a final test before waiting to see who we get in the first round. At 6-3, the Owls have had a good year, hanging on to the fourth spot in District play, exactly where the Hornets left them after a 48-0 spanking that could have been much, much worse.
