The Lady Tigers were pushed to the brink in the bidistrict round by the Deweyville Lady Pirates, finding themselves in a winner take all game three in Jasper May 1. The ladies got out early and put two up in the first inning on Deweyville, as Presslie Murphy would score on a Cora Sepulvado single, who herself would score on a triple from Briana Kiefer. The ladies added another tally in the second as Gracie Ross scored from third on a wild pitch to make it 3-0.

What a win...

The Hornets the were on the road with a must win against the Woodville Eagles, Friday night. And win they did: 4-2 in a true nail biter. Skylar Paddie earned the victory on the hill for the Hornets allowing only four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking zero. The Hornets had eight hits in the game. Paddie, Remington Ross, and Conor McDaniel all had multiple hits. Paddie went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hemphill Varsity Hornets in hits. The Hornets were also victorious over the Lumberjacks of Diboll last week, with Kam Arrington on the mound. They now play everygame like it could be their last, as they travel to Shelbyville to face a playoff against Central Pollock
