Cindy Ritchey, 76, of Milam passed away on May 15, 2024. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Cindy was a pioneer woman for real, she broke burriers by being one of a few women who drove 18 wheelers across county in the early 70’s. Her zest for life was contagious and her stern hand was always there for correction and comfort.

Mr. Clifford Tyrone Malone, age 55, of Atlanta, GA. departed this physical life on May 26, 2024, in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Malone was born August 22, 1968. Survived by two sons Zachary Malone of Tyler, and Asher Malone of Tyler, two daughters Tianna Hunt of Longbeach, CA and Hailey Hunt of Houston, two brothers Lewis Malone (Doris) of San Augustine, and Winfred Watts (Betty) of San Augustine, two sisters Fannie Holman (Daniel) of San Augustine, and Darlene Jones (Earl) of Tyler. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charles (Chuck) Harry Zonker, 86, husband, father and brother, died Saturday, the 1st of June 2024 in Lufkin. Chuck was born in Big Spring on the 30th of January in 1938 and was the son of Mr. Kenneth Russell Zonker and Mrs. Oval Lucille (Spears) Zonker.

Mary Evelyn McNaughten, 87, of Yellowpine, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. She was born on November 1, 1936, in Yellowpine, to the late Hollis E. Stewart and Lillie Mae McDonald Stewart. Evelyn, a lifetime resident of Sabine County, was a graduate of Hemphill High School Class of 1955. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, and when her husband was alive, she enjoyed cooking for him. Evelyn was known for being a very good cook.

Marcia Lynn Worrell

Marcia Lynn Worrell of Yellowpine, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2024, at the age of 60 in Lufkin. She was born on April 30, 1964, in South Bend, Indiana to Harold Blue and Ruth Elaine Gill Blue. Marcia was a 28-year resident of Sabine County and had previously resided in Bertram. She was an active member of her community, known for her involvement in fundraisers and her dedication to her children's school activities.

Sterling Keith McCoy

Mr. Sterling Keith McCoy, age 57, of Houston, departed this physical life on May 18, 2024, at Memorial Herman Northeast Hospital in Houston.. Mr. Sterling was born September 29, 1966. Survived by two brothers Brian McCoy (Kathy) of Center and Alan McCoy of Houston, two sisters Mechelle McCoy of Houston, and Melissa Grayson (Gerald) of Houston, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm Reed Chapel Baptist Church Interment: Greer Cemetery Condolences by Garner and Son Mortuary.

Percy Eugene Parsons

Percy Eugene Parsons, 76, of Pineland, passed away on May 27, 2024, in Lufkin. He was born on July 12, 1947, in Jasper to Percy Parsons and Willie Barnell Hennigan Parsons.

Percy worked many years as a diesel mechanic in the pipeline and trucking industry. His dedication and expertise were well-known among his colleagues and friends.

He was a member of the Danville Masonic Lodge #101 in Kilgore, and the DeWitt-Clinton Masonic Lodge #29 in Jasper. Percy was a four-year resident of Sabine County and had previously lived in Kilgore.

Mark Anthony Brown

Mr. Mark Anthony Brown, age 50, of San Augustine departed this physical life on May 21, 2024, at CHI St. Luke Memorial Hospital in Lukin. Mr. Brown was born July 09, 1973. Survived by son Spencer Brown (Shannon) of San Augustine, daughter Brianna Brown of Nacogdoches, three grandchildren, father Robert Earl Brown of San Augustine, two brothers Robert Lynn Brown of San Augustine and Robert D. Cloudy (Crystal) of Dallas, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Joe Carlton Jones

Joe Carlton Jones, 64, of Chinquapin, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at his residence. He was born on July 22, 1959, in Corrigan, to Junious Burnette Jones and Mildred Pauline Mericle Jones. Joe, a graduate of West Sabine High School, pursued a career as a Construction Electrician. He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and grilling in his free time. Joe was known for his love of talking on the phone to anyone who would listen and cherished his wife, Tina, and his son, Jesse, whom he affectionately referred to as Who-B.
