Mary Faith Griffin (née Erwin), age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2024, in Cedar Park. Born on November 18, 1940, in Hemphill, Faith was the cherished daughter of John Preston Erwin, Sr. and Clemence Eloise Buckley Erwin. To her family and close friends, Faith was lovingly known as “Toady.” A proud graduate of Hemphill High School, Faith played the clarinet in the school band. She furthered her education at Lamar University and built a successful career as an accountant. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication, Faith earned the respect and admiration of both colleagues and clients.

Cathy Holder (née Smith), age 68, passed away on August 18th, 2024 in Kyle. Cathy was born on December 21, 1955, to Carl E.

Eloise Evans Kincel, 61, of Beaumont, passed away on August 9, 2024. Born on October 2, 1963, in Center, to J.B. Evans and Bobbie Jean Rash Evans, she was a beacon of warmth and love throughout her life. Eloise spent her formative years in Jasper, before making Sabine County her home for 44 years. Known for her vibrant personality, she cherished her role as a loving housewife and mother, always putting her family first. Eloise's love extended beyond her home; she was an active member of the Bronson Revival Center, where she enjoyed inviting others to join her in worship and community activities.

Susan Elizabeth Turley (née Freeland), aged 66, of Hemphill, passed away on August 1, 2024. Susan was born on August 9, 1957, in Lafayette, Indiana to Kenneth Freeland and the late Aloha Yarian Freeland. A longtime resident of Sabine County, after previously living in Tyler County, Susan dedicated her life to her family, embodying the roles of a housewife, mother, and homemaker. She was a woman of simple pleasures, one of which was hunting for arrowheads, a hobby that allowed her to connect with nature and history.

Robert Calvin Burch, affectionately known as 'Uncle Bob,' passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the age of 74 in Lufkin. Born on January 3, 1950, in Houston, to Calvin Burch and Reba Lindsey, he spent his early years in San Augustine before making Rosevine his long-term home.
