Hemphill, Texas – The Patricia Huffman Smith NASA “Remembering Columbia” Museum is reaching for the stars once again with its 6th Annual Galactic Gala, set for Saturday, September 27, 2025. The Galley Club more widely known as The Bloody Bucket was demolished this past week in the Six Mile Community. It had not been operational for several years. But if those walls could talk…….hmm…..maybe it’s a good thing they can’t.

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) on September 18, 2025 approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $5,155,000 to the G-M Water Supply Corporation (Sabine and San Augustine counties), consisting of $1,550,000 in financing and $3,605,000 in grant funding, from the Water Loan Assistance Fund (WLAF). The Corporation will use the assistance for the planning, design, and construction of water system improvements.
