Werner Burwood has set up an account. at Southside Bank under the name of Sabine County Alamo Letter Society for people to make donations to help with the cost of the monument plaque “Letter to The Alamo” which will be placed on the courthouse lawn.

has been authorized to announce the candidacies of the below named persons for the offices named subject to action in the March 3, 2026 Primary elections. The announcement fee (which must be paid in advance) includes a statement and photograph to run one time. Fees are $200. The name on the calendar runs each week until the election.

Thank you t Hemphill High School FCCLA students and sponsor, Kristi McDaniel who served and helped prepare brunch with Chef Patrick, Kitchen Krew Kathy and Ida and Yolanda Wright Bozant. If you missed this celebration, I feel sad for you. The brunch was delicious and the fellowship was 10 outta 10! If you’re in Sabine County, get involved! There are so many opportunities to serve and your smile could make such a difference.
