Under-reported news

Body
Due to a technical glitch (which is a polite way of saying that I failed to save a major part of the weekly news article) a few pieces of this weeks news are over a week old. Bluebonnet State

Body
From June 19 to June 25, I attended Texas Bluebonnet Girls State at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin with two of my classmates. While I knew I would be learning about government at the city, local, and state level, I wasn't exactly sure what that meant. I had never been an entire week away from home before, but knowing that I would be with two other girls I knew from Hemphill was comforting. Since I am quiet and introverted by nature, my plan was to stick close to them for the week, not talking to strangers if I could help it. So imagine my surprise when we were all given directions to our dorms, and I realized I was on the opposite side of the campus from either one of them. I remember sitting on my bed after we said our goodbyes, wondering how I would ever survive that week.
