THE BB GUN

Body
In the late 1960s, our family lived in Houston, Texas. It was about a three-and-a-half drive north to our parent’s home in San Augustine. Christmas time was always a hectic time for all of us. My parents lived about twenty miles away from my wife’s parents. We, therefore, had to share time with both sets of grandparents when we would make the drive up north.

New Administrator at HCC

Body
Hemphill Care Center has a new administrator, and a lot of the residents already know him. He is Steve Winfield and he comes to HCC from Stonecreek Nursing and Rehabilitation in San Augustine, but many of the residents remember him from his baseball playing days. He played high school baseball (pitcher) at San Augustine, then in college, and then onto playing for Montreal Expos (now known as the Washington Nationals) and St Louis Cardinals MLB. Steve still enjoys baseball, either through watching his grandkids play, or through his personal training of various baseball players.
