As a mother, it is the worst nightmare I can imagine. A life, so full of love and light, ended entirely too soon and time stands still. Lilly Rayne Godeaux, 13-year-old angel, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, student and friend, left this world in the early morning hours of Monday, January 9, 2023.

The annual meeting of the library members will be held in the library meeting room Feb. 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. The main purpose of this meeting is to elect a Board of Directors. Directors are nominated by the current Board or by any library member. For a member to nominate a director they must provide a petition supporting the nomination signed by 5% of the active members.The petition must be submitted 30 days (Fri., Jan. 13, 2023) prior to the annual meeting.

One teacher belief I am adamant about is that EVERY child, beginning as early as 6 months should have one set of sturdy, wooden, colored blocks. Amazon has a set by Melissa and Doug on sale for $14. The set contains 100 blocks with four colors and nine shapes. This one inexpensive toy can be used throughout early childhood. The stages of block play can be googled and is a quite interesting read.
