The National Weather Service confirmed additional tornadoes occurred in East Texas on Monday from tropical storm Beryl. According to NWS storm surveys, four additional tornadoes were active in Holly Park Marina, Appleby, Timpson, and south of Henderson.

Revival services are being planned for this week at Yellowpine-Macedonia Baptist Church. Services will be held July 18-20, 2024. Each evening's service begin at 7:00 p.m. Bro. Raymond Smith will be the evangelist for these services. He has been faithful several years as a pastor and evangelist at area East Texas churches. Bro. Smith is currently pastor of Nedville Baptist Church in Jasper County. Bro. T.A. Lane and the congregation of Yellowpine-Macedonia wish to invite everyone to attend these services, which will also include old fashioned hymns and special music. Our cat, Felix, traveled up north with us for the first time, to visit my parents and their cat, Katie. I was worried Felix might not like the long drive.
