I was puttering around in the kitchen. Thinking about all that needs to be done. Now that the holidays are past; things need to be changed or packed away. The uneaten food must be frozen or other wise taken care of. The Christmas linens must be washed and replaced with the regular ones. And so on.

I cannot imagine what it must have been like when Mary and Joseph were engaged to be married. They were chosen by God to be the parents of Jesus. Would they have been able to imagine the impact He would make in this world? How but with God’s guidance did they accept the journey of raising His begotten Son?
Is there room for Jesus?

My favorite recliner gave up the ghost! It just died on me. First, it wouldn’t raise me up, from a reclining position. So, I gave it a nudge, with my feet. That worked a few times. Then, it just stopped doing that. My granddaughter got it to fold up, like it used to, once. But, I couldn’t. I sprayed cooking spray on the lever. I hoped it was just stuck. That didn’t help.

If I have counted correctly, this is my 74th Christmas. Believe me, I do not remember all of them.
I’m happily stuck!

This time of year, we all start pulling out the Christmas decorations. Mine are stored in my utility room closet. (I am blessed to have a walk in.) Soon my utility room was running over, with boxes. I did leave a path, though. From the back door, to the kitchen, there was an open place, to walk.

Throughout my life, I have dealt with many 'pesky' things that provoke the dickens out of me. I sure do miss those 'dickens.” When I think I've got one pesky thing under control, another comes along.

Hope is in the light of knowing we are held lovingly by our Creator. Our faith and trust yields to hopes fulfilled through His ultimate wisdom. Hopelessness, is in the darkness of despair without the recognition of God being present. He knows the best outcomes.

Body
Faith is knowing the possible in a seemingly impossible situation. Faith must have started in hope but would have been empty without the birth of Jesus. His coming to earth to fulfill humanity’s need for salvation remains the greatest gift for everlasting life. His resurrection and ascension witnessed and inscribed for the last two thousand years or more, sustain the assurance of TRUTH.
