Welcome Integrity: People and Friends

Body
It is as natural to seek well being as it is formidable to know joy. I feel the peace of God that surpasses all understanding in prayer. Being in the presence of like- minded people, comforts and encourages. But, not all people like all the people God created. And this past Sunday in Bible Study, Pastor Bo Owen’s wife, Karen, spoke of a significant revelation she received from God: “The same blood Jesus shed for my sins, He shed for them.” Therefore, CONSIDERATION for the ones we don’t like, need not be discarded.

Welcome Integrity: Models

Body
Holding on to my Bible wishing to have studied the books of 1 and 2 Samuel years ago, but comforted enough to see by markings that I delved into them, in past studies. The ninth and tenth books give me great pause because the information relates to God’s desire for each of us to be genuinely devoted to Him.

Who is the ‘real you?’

Body
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Prov. 23:7) Our thoughts about ourselves are often diametrically opposed to the truth of who we really are in Christ. Many times we evaluate ourselves based on our looks, our educational level, our finances, who our spouse is or if we are married or single, our job or career and many other things. All such external matters have nothing to do with our true identity. Such evaluations will almost always deceive us. Only when you agree with God’s declarations about you will you be thinking correctly. I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me. (Rom. 8:37) I am raised and seated with Him in heavenly places. (Eph. 2:6) I am the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21) There is no condemnation because I am in Christ Jesus. (Rom. 8:1) I am free from the law of sin and death. (Rom. 8:2) Jesus has been made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. (1 Cor. 1:30) I am always led in triumph in Christ Jesus. (2 Cor. 2:14) I am a new creation in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:17) I am blessed with every blessing in Christ. (Eph. 1:3) I am created in Him for good works. (Eph. 2:10) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13) By His stripes I was healed. (Isa. 53:5)

Turning Point reacts to death

Body
Every one of us at Turning Point USA is crushed and devastated by the hateful murder of our founder and guiding light, Charlie Kirk. All of us have lost a leader, a mentor, and a friend. Above all, our hearts are with Erika and their two children. Charlie was the ideal husband and the perfect father. Above all else, we ask you to pray for the Kirks after the incomprehensible loss they have suffered. More than anyone, Charlie believed in the power of argument and good-faith debate to find the truth and guide people towards, if not agreement, then at least mutual understanding. Charlie was no stranger to threats. He received thousands throughout his life. But he always prioritized reaching as many young Americans as possible over his own personal safety. Now, Charlie has become America's greatest martyr to the freedom of speech he so adored. In his thirty-one ears, Charlie lived more than anv of us will in a hundred. He had an overwhelming passion for life and a deep belief in his power as an individual to make a difference. With the spirit of a pioneer, Charlie launched Turning Point out of his parents garage as an 18-year-old with no money, no name recognition, only a dream. His energy and drive were awe-inspiring, without equal and deeply infectious. Charlie refused to squander a single day of his life. He was a natural builder and problem solver, who loved a challenge and saw every setback as a chance to learn, grow, pray, and try again. He was fundamentally decent, always eager to make new friends and allies and to support and defend the ones he had already made. His values were timeless American ones: Honesty, forthrightness, duty, loyalty, and fair play.

Danger of Indifference

Body
A family died, not long ago, by a fire in their own house. They were not consumed by the flames but suffocated by the smoke. No blaze was visible at all, nor could any alarming sign of fire be discovered from the street, and yet death came as effectually upon them as if they had been burned to ashes.

Welcome Integrity: Godliness

Body
Crossroads give pause. One stands to consider; it is best to gaze upwards, to seek counsel. One has to be prepared with faith before taking the deciding step. This is the moment I revisit more mindfully than ever before. Being on the fence like an acrobat, requires fortitude, focus, balance and skillful patience. Laugh or cry. One cannot avoid the choice.
