Donna Burnette reads The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses at Arthur Temple Sr. Memorial Library on Wednesday, June 14, in hopes of getting youngsters interested in returning to the library after the long closures due to Covid. Also included in the days festivities were crafts, food, and pony rides put on by Roselake Ranch out of Garrison, Texas. The kids had a very fun day! West Sabine AD Danny Bragg introduces Tiger alumni and new Softball Coach Joush Morris to a group of future Lady Tigers. Halli Hall, Faith Hardy, and Emma Frick were on hand to introduce the newcomers to the Tiger way of training, which leads to the Tiger way of winning. Hemphill ISD announces English as superintendent

The official announcement has been made. It reads, “At a meeting on May 31, 2022, the Hemphill ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to name Stephen English as Lone Finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools. Trustee Marty Griffin was not present and has recused himself from the entire Superintendent search process.

Good evening, everyone. First, I want to thank the Brookeland High School teachers, administrators, and staff, as well as the parents, families, and friends who are here tonight continuing to show their endless support. Thank you for joining us on this special occasion. We could not have made it this far without each of you, and it is my honor to speak to you tonight.
