Myrtle Boyd

Body
Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Myrtle Boyd, 87, started her new life as she entered eternal rest from her home surrounded by family. She married the love of her life, John Hamilton Boyd II, on February 21, 1970. They spent 31 wonderful years together. Mom was known for her love of fine jewelry and beautiful, colorful clothing. She was a fantastic cook. She never forgot an ingredient - unless you asked for a recipe. One of the family’s favorite holiday/weekend breakfast dishes was her homemade biscuits with sausage gravy. Playing poker with the grandkids was always exciting, with constant jokes and pranks. All family gatherings were full of love and laughter. Grandma aka “GG” loved spoiling her grandkids. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and feeding hummingbirds. Most days, she would take her coffee on the back porch. She was an avid reader and loved to work all kinds of puzzles.
