Robert Eugene Wright, of Saraland, AL (formerly of Milam, TX) went home to Jesus June 20, 2023 at the age of 91. He was born to Benjamin and Ida Wright on Jan. 25, 1932 in Franklin. As a child, he enjoyed time spent hunting and fishing with his dad. He met his wife, Jean, in 1968. They had a love that stood the test of time. He was an father of four children when they married on November 22, 1968.

Samuel Loyde Cooper, 71, of Crosby, Texas passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 is Houston, Texas. He was born Dec. 2, 1951 in Hemphill to Edward Earl Cooper and Fairy Lee Blackmon Cooper. He worked many years for Williams Brothers Construction operating heavy equipment. He loved old cars and fast cars, owning several over the years. He is survived by his daughter, Fairy Rosenbusch; siblings, Dewey Cooper and wife, Patricia, Glenn Cooper, Carolyn Saintes and husband, Bernie, Billy Cooper, Terry Cooper and Raymond Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn Beckworth Lane, 75, of Pineland, TX passed away June 18, 2023 at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin. She was born in Bearhead Creek, LA on Sep. 13, 1947 to Barney Beckworth and Lizzie Kingery Beckworth. She and her husband, Robert E. Lane, were married on Feb. 22, 1965. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Pentecostal Church her whole life. She is survived by her sons, Bronco Lane and wife, Vickie and Bobby Lane and wife, Stephanie of Pineland; daughter, Kim Lane of Pineland; 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, four sisters, and one brother.

Elna Faye Kincel, 78, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, Texas. Elna Faye was born August 20, 1944 in Buna, Texas to Charlie Melvin Latham and Mona Leafy Easley Latham. She and her husband, Noah, were married August 8, 1958 and together raised their seven children. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and a loving wife and mother.

Janice was born in Clinton, Iowa on January 31, 1951 to Roland Dennison and Joyce Catherine Herrin Dennison. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker and a member of the Morman faith. She was active in her community, having been a member of the Eagles, the VFW and a 20 year member of the Othello Volunteer Fire Department. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was loved by those who knew her.

Troy Jefferson Brown, 60, of Milam, Texas passed away one Friday, June 2, 2023 in Many, Louisiana. Troy was born on November 5, 1962 in Washington DC to James Brown and Annie Pearl Hadnot. He was a member of the US ARMY. He was better known as, Poppie or Papa Troy to his grandkids and had a special way of making everyone smile or laugh when he walked into a room. To know him was to love him. He loved being outdoors on any given day. Troy had a love for fishing and taking some of the most breathtaking photos of the scenery. He loved his puppy named Oreo who he would tell you wasnt his but she was always with him. He loved making memories with his grandkids. From teaching his oldest Carson that, 'men open doors for women' or breaking it down dancing with his girls. Troy's absolute favorite thing to do was anything that involved the love of his life, Betty. They had many excursions together but his most fond one was when they went on his very first and last horse ride.
