She is survived by her parents, Trey and Hailey Bearden of Geneva; brothers, Brandon Bearden and Knox Bearden of Geneva; sister, Teagan Bearden of Geneva; paternal grandparents, Brent and Stacy Bearden of Geneva; maternal grandmother, Jane Trusty of Needville; great grandmother, Barbara Martin of Urania, LA; uncles, Michael Trusty of Houston and Matthew Bearden and wife, Christie, of Geneva; aunt, Michelle Huff of League City; and great uncles, Julian Martin of West Monroe, LA and Brandon Martin of Olla, LA.

Marion 'Dick' Cauzell Jacks, 81, of Pineland, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 18, 1941 in Hemphill, to Marion George Jacks and Bessie Beatrice Wood. He worked as an operator in the oil field industry and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed a hard day's work and if he ever started whistling the tune of 'Blueberry Hill', everyone better be ready to work. He loved his family, spending time with his grandchildren, and talking with his friends.

Darline (Renfroe) Smith, 72, Timpson, died Saturday, April 29, 2023. Born January 31, 1952, in San Augustine to parents Eunice Eleanor (Morris) and Leon Tyson Renfroe, Darline worked several years in the family business, Renfroe Furniture and a resale shop.

William Darrell Baggett

William Darrell Baggett, 80, of Broaddus died suddenly Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in San Augustine. He was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Malvern, Arkansas, to parents William Silas and Valah Clara Baggett. He grew up in Columbia, Louisiana, and had lived in the Broaddus area for the 22 years. he was a U.S. Army Korean veteran. For most of his life, he worked as a grocer. He began working at Brookshire Brothers in San Augustine upon moving to the area and continued working there until his death. He was a faithful, dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Broaddus where he served as a deacon.
