Joseph Dewey Ebarb, 76, of Hemphill passed away Saturday, Dec. 2nd, at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin. Joe was born December 16, 1946 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Perkins Ebarb and Rosie Nigreville Ebarb. He was a lifelong resident of Sabine Count and had worked for many years as a truck driver in the timber industry.

He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Beckcom and husband, Greg, of Hemphill; sister, Patsy Allen and husband, Glen, of Joaquin; grandchildren, Matthew Beckcom and wife, Abby, Luke Beckcom, Cody Ebarb and wife, Jacee, B.J. Ebarb, and Alexis Bullock and husband, Isaac; and four great grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Ebarb and son, Billy Joe Ebarb, Sr.

Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 th in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
