Charles Gene Lindsey, age 83, of San Augustine, TX, was born in Jasper, TX on October 3, 1941. He went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2025, just in time to reunite with his beloved wife, Martha, on her birthday. Charles grew up in the small sawmill town of Pineland, TX, surrounded by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was there he met the love of his life, Martha Milstead Lindsey, at the Dairy Bar. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, prayer, and love—a shining example of true devotion to one another for 60 years.

Angela Dawn (Smith) Grider, 64, of Yellowpine passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025. Angie was born June 26, 1961, in Bay City, Texas, to parents Robert Glyn and Virginia Smith. She was the oldest of three daughters. Her survivors include her parents, Robert Glyn and Virginia Smith of Yellowpine; son, Dylan Grider of San Diego, California; daughter, Chassidy Sutton and husband, Gary, of San Diego, California; granddaughters, Hannah Contreras and Kayleigh Sutton; great-grandchildren, Ava and Mateo Contreras; and nephews, Robert Frazier and wife, Ashley, and Tyler Anderson and wife, Christina.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rebecca Lynn Hart, lovingly known as Becky or Ducky, at the age of 32. Rebecca was born on December 6th, 1992, at Meritier Methodist Hospital in Madison, WI. She passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at CHI St. Lufkin. Rebecca was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Jared, and her aunts, Julie and Jody. She also reunites with her grandfathers, Gerald Ziggler and Fred Hart, whose love and memory she carried with her always.

Pamela Jean Carrico, 68, of San Augustine, was called home by our Lord and Savior on Friday, June 20, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born May 3, 1957 in Panama City Florida, to parents William and Sonja Luckey. After three long years surviving extended illnesses under the amazing care of her friends at Gentiva Hospice, Pam passed suddenly at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, shrouded in the love of her deeply devoted husband, Randy and adoring children, Jennifer Hersey and Mary & Michael VanCleave.

Bonnie Moore, 79, of Rosevine, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Hemphill. A lifelong resident of Rosevine, Bonnie was born there on July 23, 1946, to N. B. McBride and Ella Mae Murray McBride. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was rooted in faith, family, and service to others. She shared many years of marriage with her beloved husband, O. G. Moore, until his passing. Together they built a home filled with love and resilience.

James Henry “Hen” Parks, age 70, of San Augustine, departed this physical life on, July 25, 2025, at his residence in San Augustine. Mr. Parks, was born August 01, 1954. Survived by his wife; Gloria Hill Parks of San Augustine, two sons; LaDarius Ealy (Daniell) of Dallas, and Rodregus Hill of Nacogdoches, daughter; Jametrice Parks of San Augustine, eleven grandchildren , seven great-grandchildren, brother; James Ray Parks of Houston, three sisters; Gloria Burrell (Murry) of Houston, Sharon Crockett of San Augustine, and Barbara Jones of San Augustine. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

David Ronald Brown, lovingly known as “Papa”, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025. While he will be missed and remembered always, his family finds comfort knowing he died painlessly and while Trump was president. David was a simple man who lived an honest life. Born on December 29, 1956, David, the second of three sons born to Helen Gray and JC Brown, spent his childhood in Beaumont, and grew up in Pineland. He met his lifelong “bride” (as he called her), Dayla Fisher, while working in Sabine Pass. Despite being tall, tan, and green-eyed, Dayla was smitten with the way he walked– his “strut”, as she called it. They married in 1983 and had three children: Krystle, Kacie and Kaleb. They were amazing parents.

Ruth Lee Hughes, 97, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in Hemphill. Born on April 11, 1928, in Camden, to William H. Watson and Jesse Murphy Watson, Ruth was the cherished youngest child in a family of five, lovingly nicknamed 'Baby Ruth' by her four older brothers.

Burna Dee Lloyd (née Dixon), age 90, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, in Hemphill. Born on April 4, 1935, in Port Arthur, Burna was raised in Southeast Texas and graduated from South Park High School in Beaumont as a proud member of the Class of 1953. She later made Beaumont her home for many years before settling in Hemphill, where she lived for the past fifteen years. Burna dedicated much of her professional life to working as a timekeeper in refineries and other industries. Her diligence and attention to detail were hallmarks of her career, and she took pride in her work throughout the years.
