An unspeakable tragedy unfolded in our nation’s capital this week after a mid-air collision between an Army Blackhawk helicopter and American Airlines flight 5342 in what may be one of the worst air disasters in decades. Our hearts and prayers are with the victims, their loved ones, our fearless first responders, and all those affected by this tragedy.

Meeting The Sabine County Beekeepers will meet for our monthly meeting on Monday February 3rd at 6:30pm. We meet every 1st Monday of the month at 6:30PM at the Sabine County Extension Agents office in Hemphill, located in the Brookshire Brothers parking lot next to Family Dollar.

The Texas Forestry Museum invites you and your family to attend Fun in the Forest After Dark on Friday, February 7th from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. At the event, kids will roast hot dogs over a campfire, eat s’mores, learn about campfire safety from Texas A&M Forest Service’s, Laura Stevens, take a night hike on the trail, play games, and more. All attendees should wear closed-toe shoes, warm clothing, and bring a flashlight. Tickets are $5 per person and are limited, so be sure to call the museum at (936) 632-9535 and reserve your spot.
