TPWD Opens New Paddling Trails at Toledo Bend Reservoir

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will launch a new series of paddling trails at Toledo Bend Reservoir in East Texas, recently designated the official Bass Fishing Capital of Texas. The Lost Frontier Reach, Mid Lake Run, Palo Gaucho and Six Mile Paddling trails increase the number of trails at Toledo Bend to five.

The couple will make their home in Rosevine, where they look forward to building their life together. Surrounded by the love of family and friends, they will exchange vows in a December ceremony.

NORTHEAST TEXAS (August 13, 2025) – In response to the news that regional water planning groups in North Texas (Region C) and Northeast Texas (Region D) had reached a mediated agreement in the conflict over the contentious Marvin Nichols Reservoir, Preserve Northeast Texas issued the following statement: “While we are relieved that the timeline has once again been pushed back, mitigating the immediate threat of the reservoir, we remain deeply concerned that this destructive project continues to be considered as an option for Region C.
