Sabine County residents have a new advocate in town as Robert G. Neal III, also known as “Trey,” has returned to East Texas to join the Robert Neal Law Firm PLLC, working alongside his father, Robert G. Neal Jr. “Bobby.”

With summer comes mosquitos, and with mosquitos can come heartworms. Even one or two of these dangerous parasites can have serious consequences for pets, but the threat becomes even greater when there are enough to create a blockage inside the heart and cause a life-threatening condition called caval syndrome.

In the late fifties Sabine County and the whole USA was laying around in the shade of unprecedented prosperity. Well, maybe Sabine County was a wee bit behind in the prosperity part.

Recently, our state experienced a tragedy in the Hill Country. We mourn the lives lost during the flooding over the Fourth of July holiday on the Guadalupe River. Texas lost 135 men, women, and children with some still missing. We pray for the recovery of the missing, the Texans we lost, and the communities impact by this tragedy.
