Look who has U-Haul

Body
Martin’s Corner Gift Shop in Milam has now added U-Haul to its business. They have the big trucks, the pull behinds, the dollys. They have it all. I spoke with Jennifer Vickers – Mgr. about the new business and she told me that Sheilah Martin – Owner, wanted to enlarge store inventory to better serve the community. Not only have they added clothing and furniture to the store inventory, they are now a new U-Haul dealer. And soon, they plan to build storage units as well! Located across the street from the Milam Post Office, their new store hours are Tues. thru Sat., 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Their phone number is 409-625-0299. Go check them out!

My Five Cents

Body
Last month, I was proud to co-host the Lone Star Legislative Summit in Nacogdoches with Rep. Travis Clardy in conjunction with the Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce. We hosted a number of attendees from across the state including Speaker Dade Phelan and panels on immigration and border security, education, infrastructure, energy, health care, and social media and freedom of speech. It was a pleasure to have so many familiar faces in East Texas.

Dear Ann...

Marcia Cassanova stars in the one woman show, “The Lady with All the Answers” this weekend. Do you know about The Actors Studio Inc. ? Well, it's time to find out at the Ribbon Cutting this Thursday, May 12 at 11 a.m., located at 160 Main St. just off the square in Hemphill. They have only been here a few months and are making great waves. Come for popcorn and support live theater by an active group of folks in the Sabine County Chamber of Commerce.
