Body James William (Bill) Haley was born in Center, Texas, September 22, 1943, and died July 3, 2022, in Austin. Bill attended public schools in Center through his high school education.

Body A regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Sabine County was held Friday, July 8th.

Body We reported in last week’s edition the arrest of local business owner Joshua Jurek. On July 1, he was arrested for violating a protective order.

Body Twin Cedars and Holly Bay subdivisions held their annual golf cart parade and firework display. The whole subdivision joins in for this event and at the end of the parade they sit down for a dinner together and enjoy each others company.

Body Take a rain washed summer evening, provide free fish, fries, banana pudding, and watermelon, now try to make it better. Add fireworks, of course. Six Mile Marina not only fed the crowd, but provided them front row, waterfront seats to their annual 4th of July fireworks show.

Body Adam Ledger Band(1) topped off an epic weekend with for everyone at Lost Frontier. It was full of (2) family-fun activities, (3) pool time, a band at the end of the night and fireworks. If you weren’t able to make it to this event you truly missed out.

Body Holly Park had their annual fourth of july festivities. You can see the fireworks from miles away and numerous community members and neighbors showed up to watch in person as they have done for years. It’s a must see for any Milam patriot.

Body After an hour of intense rain, the clouds cleared, the sun set, and parents brought the kids to watch another great fireworks show put on by the 6 Mile VFD.

Body Sabine County Hospital and Toledo Bend Family Medicine received notice on May 5, from a company under contract to provide accounts receivable management services to the hospital and clinic that some patient data may have been exposed as a result of a network security incident.
