More than entertainment, it's educational...

Body
What does Galway, Ireland and Jasper, Texas have in common? Danny O'Flaherty, who happens to be one of the more unique entertainers in the East Texas/West Louisiana area. Born in Galway, now living in Jasper, Danny spends his time in small venues, sharing Irish music and folk songs, not only the songs, but the history of the song. With a country so rich in history as Ireland, there is not shortage of music to share. Danny has just returned home from his latest Irish excursion, a long vacation spent gathering new old songs and recharging his internal Irish batteries. HIs show at the Actors Studio Saturday night was proof that his efforts were worthwhile, as Danny entertained the crowd with the stories behind the songs, shared as only someone with true Irish roots could do.
