Patriotic Weekend on Toledo Bend a great success

Body
The first Patriotic Weekend on Toledo Bend was cram-packed full of family fun for all ages. The weather was beautiful and HOT as a firecracker on the 4th of July, but that didn’t slow down any of the activities that the Sabine County Chamber of Commerce and Sabine Parish had put together. We tried our best to make as many of the activities as possible while supporting all of our local businnesses. Here is a rundown of the festivities. We began our day at the Sabine County Farmers and Artisians Market. There were lots of treats and goodies to be bought, with cake and kolaches being some of our favorites. When we left there, we stopped by The Emporium to shop some of their deals and say hi to some of the weekend’s sponsors, JR Tool and Equipment and Robert and Jasmin Crittenden.

Pickle Ball...

Body
Tanya Walker was at the Pickle Ball courts at the City Park showing the paddle and the ball used to play the game. It’s sort of like tennis, but with lots less rules. The City installed the special nets and painted the pickle ball boundary lines. The area she is standing in is called the “Kitchen”, or no mans land. On Mondays & Thursdays there are usually 8 to 10 people that show up to play pickle ball, and they invite anyone that is interested to come join in on the fun!

He would proceed to give the city an unmodified opinion stating, “Everything went very well,” and the council would wholeheartedly accept the report from Raney.
