Tigers salute Veterans...

Taps was played by Claire Champagne at a solemn and respectful Veterans Day event held at West Sabine High School gym on Thursday, November 9th. Masters of Ceramony were Hannah McElhaney and Kadence Clark, the VFW Color Guard Post 10351 posted and retrieved the colors, the West Sabine Tiger Band played several patriotic songs, West Sabine 2nd graders sang several songs. The West Sabine students did a great job throughout the entire presentation!

The road stretched before us. My precious daughter-inlove was driving me, again. We talked about all kinds of things. We laughed at some. Thanked God for others. We were reminded about her daughter, driving from North Carolina to Texas, alone.

According to the Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in Asheville, N.C., an estimated $800 million is lost in business every Friday the 13th due to fears of the doomed day. The question is why is there such dread and avoidance of this day by the public?
