Alberta Buroker, 86, San Augustine, passed away March 9, 2023. Mrs. Buroker was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Fairfax, Vermont, to parents Helen Agnes and Gerald Flanders. She was a former longtime resident of the Port Arthur area.

Cheral Darlene DuBose Freeman, 74, of Brookeland died March 19, 2023, at her residence. She was born on January 27, 1949 in Jasper.

Elizabeth Jones, 94, of Granite Shoals, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her residence. She was born on August 6, 1928 in Simsboro, LA to Basil Stevenson and Leta Stanley.

Beatrice Inez McDonald, 93, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill. She was born April 20, 1929 in Harlingen, to Dominico and Beatrice Leal. She was a 23 year resident of Sabine County, having previously resided in New Caney, Texas.

Charles William Rodgers, 74, of San Augustine County passed away March 7, 2023. He was born April 9, 1948, in Houston and retired from the U.S.

Billy Don Selman, Sr., (82) of Hemphill, Texas passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. He was born on December 29, 1940 to James Leonard and Eunice Karen Knox-Selman in Douglas.

Chad Joseph Moroski, also known as 'Rosco' to his friends and 'CPaw' to his grandsons, died Wednesday morning, March 22, 2023 of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Harvard, IL on July 6, 1969 to James Steve 'Jim' Moroski and Dolores J. 'Lori' Zalesmy Moroski.

Melvin Wayne James, Sr. of Hemphill, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the 11th of February 2023. Melvin was born on October 31, 1937, to Therman M. and Mildred James in Snider, Texas. Shortly after his birth his father moved the family to Galveston, Texas and then ending up in Texas City.

The Homegoing Celebration for Dr. Elizabeth A. Reneau, 86, of Lufkin was held, March 9, 2023, in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joshua Reneau and Reverend Samuel Reneau officiating. Graveside service followed at Woods Cemetery in Broaddus, Texas.
